This animation is an application which me and my team "Lunavark Studio" worked on for the past few weeks.

I was in charge of the environments and backgrounds, And also collaborated on some of the art with:

Daniel Robinson : http://sleepingdust.blogspot.co.uk/
Who also did all the creature design and animation

Elbert Lim : http://epiclone.blogspot.co.uk/
Who is the big boss

Last but not least Jordan O'Hare who is our programing warrior and Dominic Beresford-Webb who is the Gameplay/mechanics/organization/ Guru

Pilot Concepts

Some initinal ideas for my first character. I wanted him to be the pilot of the car from my last post. Therefore I kept the design language and color scheme similar. Below are also some concepts for other possible characters.

Oxygen mask
When creating this character I used the same process as I did with the car.

1.Thumbnail
2. Lineart over thumbnail
3.Block out colors
4. Render
5. Render again
6. Render details
7. Add texture

First car

This is the very first proper vehicle design for Project Overlander. Inspired by those early mobiles which were powered by really big engines, Like the one bellow the "Beast of Turin", Which ran on an airship engine.

When I started designing, I had a few things in mind. A big offroad car which is loosely based on a medieval french knight.  The design process is purely based of trial and error, seeing what works and what doesent while keeping my initial theme in mind, and this is the result.

and it sounds something like this

RaceWagon

Playing around with the idea for the protagonists vehicle. The concept behind it is that since the protagonist is from a very small independent faction, he will not have much support from his team, and will have to sleep on the go, in his car. So his vehicle will need to be his home as well. I want to make it look like it could go fast, off-road, but also big enough to have small living quarters.
